This assignment entailed launching an entirely new line of business for Telelefonica O2. The objective was for Telefonica O2 to be come a total service provider and sell fixed services in a converged portfolio. This required a fixed network, new devices, support, sales, training and overcoming the technical limitation of having IT systems equipped for a mobile only organization. I acted as Product Manager (Business Owner) in one of the largest IT projects in the companies history. Working in part of a small team Telefonica O2 entered the market with all of the above delivered via ADSL to 85% Geographic coverage and the capability to conveniently single-bill a customer for Mobile, Fixed Voice, Broadband and WLR. Definitely one of the most challenging and rewarding projects I have worked on to-date.
